While there isn't any major news about Space Gray if you're familiar with the gunmetal-esque Space Gray MacBooks or older Space Gray iPhones, Starlight has been a hot topic since its debut. The Purple iPad Air is light in color, like Pink it's similar to a lilac and is quite soothing. It's much more subtle, which you'll likely appreciate if you want your tablet to look more indistinct. Instead, Apple opted for a baby pink for this model. The iPad Air's Pink is, quite frankly, nothing like the vivid shade of the iPad. It's not as lively, but it's still appreciably blue with decent saturation-overall more akin to a slate blue. Of all the colors, Blue is the closest to its regular iPad brethren. Expect more muted colors here, but they're still attractive and offer a slightly more "professional" feel. Despite sharing identical names for colors like Blue and Pink, the shades between iPad and iPad Air are noticeably different. That said, you really can't go wrong with any of these terrific colors.Ĭompared to the iPad, the iPad Air's color options don't pop as much. It's neutral, but still a great option for those who want an iPad color that's a little less loud. Silver is the same you'd expect from Apple if you've seen any Silver MacBook or iPad over the past decade you might have seen this color on both when deciding between a Mac and iPad.

When introducing the Mac OS X redesign in 2000, Steve Jobs famously said, "One of the design goals was that when you saw it, you wanted to lick it." The Yellow iPad feels like an extension of that philosophy. The Yellow option looks in person like your favorite lemon-flavored lollipop. Pink is right near the line that crosses over into hot pink, but it's a bit warmer and richer.

The Blue iPad is about as close to an electric blue as Apple has ever shipped on any iPad model, though it's just a tad less saturated than a true electric blue. The Blue, Pink, and Yellow options here are all bold and extremely fun. You'll find that this iPad comes in the most vibrant colors out of any model. First in the line-up, we have the standard iPad.
